Warner Music has used AI to train a computer to recreate the voice of late French singer Edith Piaf for an upcoming biopic.

The film will combine animation and archival footage to tell the story of Piaf's rise to fame.

Some of Piaf's original recordings will be included in the film, but the majority of the narration will be AI generated. [ more ]

Warner Music Group is working with production company Seriously Happy on the film and is currently seeking a studio partner.

Piaf's estate is supportive of the project, stating that it has been a special and touching experience to hear her voice once again. [ more ]
